by Ni'Kesia Pannell

Since its arrival onto the scene a few years ago, the beautyblender has been all the rage among professional makeup artists and novice beauticians alike. Even if you're not into makeup, I'm sure you've heard of the product and how it changed the beauty game. If you're like me and aren't really into spending $20 on a product that can only be used for one thing, finding alternative uses for a beautyblender will make spending that amount on the small sponge a little better.

After doing a little research and testing of my own, I'm here to tell you that there's so much more that you can do with that little sponge even after its time as your blender is over and done.Although it really took me forever to purchase the makeup product because I felt like I didn't need one, knowing that there are so many other alternatives to using it after its run its course, makes me feel a lot better about investing my hard earned cash into it.

If you're tired of throwing out your beautyblender without feeling like you've really gotten the best use of it, try these 11 alternatives to help you get the most bang for your buck.

4

Arts & Crafts Projects

5

Blend Your Lipstick And Lip Liner

Whether you aim to give your lip an ombré look or just blend your lipstick and lip liner, The Beauty Snoop noted that using your beautyblender will help give your lips the look you're going for.

6

A Pet Toy

Whether you have a hedgehog as a pet like YouTuber Michelle Rupert or want to make a toy for your pet cat, after cleaning, the beautyblender can become a fun toy for your pet. If you attach a string to use as a toy for your cat though, make sure you don't leave them unattended with it.

7

Clean Your Screen

As simple as it gets, your old beautyblender can be used as a screen cleaner for your phone or computer screen. It can even double as a lens cleaner for your camera, too.

8

Evenly Apply Facial Moisturizer

Just like it can be used to apply foundation or tinted moisturizer as seen on Birchbox's YouTube, the beautyblender can also be used to apply your moisturizer in the same way.

9

Curl Your Hair

Weird, right? When a friend of mine told me she tried this, I thought she was crazy. However, I gave it try when I had some extensions in and it worked. It was also comfortable to sleep it. Just use the old beautyblender to roll your hair up and pin them in place for the night. When you wake up in the morning, you'll have a few curls.

10

Apply A Self-Tanner

As noted above with the facial moisturizer, the beautyblender can double as a self tanner applicator.

11

Remove Deodorant Stains

There's nothing worse than getting a deodorant stain on your shirt after you're already dressed. If you need to get it out without drenching the entire area, wet the beautyblender like usual and pat away until the stain leaves.
