15 Frozen Treats That Satisfy Pregnancy Cravings Come Summer Time

by Yvette Manes

Once you've passed the point of morning sickness, it's not rare for pregnancy cravings to kick in. My cravings were pretty weird — not sardines and peanut butter weird, but different. I craved snow crab legs, steamed clams, and French onion soup. I'd never even tasted French onion soup. In fact, I hated onions.

By the time summer rolled around, my cravings were more of the frozen variety. I looked high and low for frozen treats to satisfy my pregnancy cravings. Popsicles, ice cream sandwiches, and smoothies were my favorites, but I wouldn't pass up a drumstick from the ice cream truck.

The doctor warned me to cut out as many processed sugars as I could from my diet. It was a challenge trying to find healthy snacks while still trying to quench my cravings for all things sweet and frozen. Store bought snacks weren't quite cutting it, and I had to start incorporating more fruits and veggies into my diet.

Thankfully, all I had to do was turn to my dear old friend, the internet. There are some super talented food bloggers that have made it their mission to invent healthy and tasty meals. Here are some of my favorite recipes for frozen treats that are sure to satisfy your own pregnancy cravings this summer.
