Halloween is almost here, so if you're not already binge-watching Halloween movies, you should be. If you're like me, the best part of Halloween isn't really the candy as much as it is the continuous movies that you can watch during the time of the year. Though these movies can definitely be watched throughout the entire year, there's something about watching them during the month of October that just feels so right. What's even better about those same movies is that Halloween movies for kids can be watched as adults, too and you don't have to feel even slightly guilty about loving them.
When I was a kid, Halloween was the start of the family-inclusive holidays. I mean, the fact that Halloween precedes both Thanksgiving and Christmas is a great way to kick off the family-friendly holiday season. I love the fact that my family and I would sit around the living room every weekend in October and binge watch all of the Halloween movies we could find. Since there's clearly not a shortage of spooky movies in the world, there was never a dull moment for us.

'Hocus Pocus'
In 1993, Disney released what is now known as one of the best Halloween movies ever created. Now, over 20 years later, Hocus Pocus is still getting kids and parents excited during the Halloween season. If you ask me, there is no Halloween without seeing Hocus Pocus at least once during the month.

'Twitches'
Another Disney movie that has made a big impact on the kids is their early 2000 DCOM, Twitches. Starring Tia and Tamera Mowry, the movie follows a set of twin witches who discover their powers and each other on their 21 birthday.

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride is another family-friendly film that will fit perfectly into your Halloween movie line up. Though it is an animated film, be sure that you monitor whether or not children eight and below should be watching with you.

Hotel Transylvania has made it onto my favorite movies to watch, especially during Halloween. Not only is it filled with monsters and ghouls, it's a great film to get the kids laughing with it's not-so-scary characters.

Animated in the same way Corpse Bride is, 1993's The Nightmare Before Christmas is the epitome of a Halloween movie.

If your children have no idea what The Addams Family is, now is the perfect time to introduce them. A great family film, the original and its sequel will be perfect to pop in and watch together this Halloween.
