From Shark Puppets To Eyeshadow Palettes, These Stocking Stuffers For Under $5 Are Amazing

Hands down one of my favorite holiday traditions when I was younger was getting a look at what was inside my stocking. Whether it was the Pogs I hoped for in grade school or Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers of my teenage years (P.S. I love that both of these are still a thing), discovering what Santa left behind was always a thrill. Now that I have a daughter, I am passing along the festive fun that my parents did to me and, also in the truest fashion of my deals-scoring mama, I'm on the lookout for stocking stuffers under $5.

What you'll find below is everything from candy to beauty products to a shark hand puppet that will help round out your stocking stuffing stash. Bonus? All of the tiny gifts clock in under or exactly at $5. You'll find candy at Target, beauty products galore at Ulta, and even fun ideas from The Land of Nod. (And who the heck ever thought you would find something under $5 there, am I right?)

Of course, while I know you will be shopping for the little ones in your life, I also included some ideas for the big kids, like cozy socks and a manicure set. Because, hey, if they're anything like me, then they're probably still hoping for a stocking, too.

1

Burt's Bees Holiday Gift Set

I feel like every stocking needs a solid lip balm, so I included this cute A Bit of Burt's Bees Holiday Gift Set ($3, Walmart). It comes in a little tin ornament with not one, but two products.

2

Shark Hand Puppet

I feel like this Shark Hand Puppet ($5, The Land Of Nod) is a gift for the little and big kids in your life. I mean, I could just as easily see my dad delighting in this stocking stuffer as my 2-year-old.

3

Mermaid Glow Rainbow Highlighter

For me, the title says it all with this one. (Mermaid? Sign me up.) Grab the Lottie London Mermaid Glow Rainbow Highlighter ($5, Ulta) and brighten up the holidays for a magical friend in your life.

4

Bright Starts Shake & Spin Activity Balls

Perfect for ages 3 months and up, these Bright Starts Shake & Spin Activity Balls ($5, Walmart) make a colorful addition to your little one's stocking.

5

Theatre Box Candy

What stocking would be complete without a bit of something sweet? These assorted Theatre Box Candies ($1, Target) are a thrifty (and yummy) necessity in every stocking.

6

Stanley Pocket Screwdriver

My mom stuck this Stanley Pocket Screwdriver ($5, Amazon) into my husband's stocking one year and it is one of my favorite items in our kitchen junk drawer. (We all have those, right?) It fits in the palm of your hand and is especially perfect for swapping out toy batteries.

7

Rainbow Light Up Fidget Spinner

I feel like I see these Metallic LED Colorful Rainbow Light Up Fidget Spinners ($3, Walmart) between the fingers of everyone from kids to grownup kids. I say buy one for every family member and call it a day.

8

Women's Fuzzy Slipper Socks

Treat a special friend in your life to these Women's Fuzzy Babba Slipper Socks ($4, Walmart) and snag a pair for yourself too.

9

Really Big Windup Bug

I'm pretty sure these Really Big Windup Bugs ($5, The Land of Nod) would keep everyone from kids to cats busy, so I say grab a few for creepy, crawly holiday fun.

10

Barbie Princess Nikki Doll

If I would have pulled a Barbie out of my stocking when I was a kid, I would have been hella surprised. (Because what Barbie is under $5?) Make a kid in your life smile and sneak this budget-friendly Barbie Princess Nikki Doll ($5, Walmart) into their stocking.

11

Le Mini Macaron Hand Mask

Sounds fancy, smells fancy? Sign me up. This Le Mini Macaron Jasmine Green Tea Hand Mask ($4, Ulta) makes for a spa-like addition to a holiday stocking

12

Thomas & Friends MINIS

My toddler would flip for these Thomas & Friends MINIS Three-Pack ($5, Walmart) and I can imagine a little one in your life would, too. I say buy one or five right now.

13

Ice Cream Shoppe Erasers

The school-supplies-loving me of the '90s would have flipped for these colorful Ice Cream Shoppe Erasers ($2, The Land Of Nod). Who am I kidding? I want them now.

14

Original Slinky

I mean, you know how the song goes, right? If everyone loves a Slinky ($3, Amazon) then you really can't go wrong with popping this classic favorite into a stocking.

15

2017 Vintage Bell Ornament

My mom always throws a pretty ornament into our stockings — yes, I am 33 and still get a stocking — so I had to be sure to include an option in the mix. This 2017 Vintage Bell Ornament ($5, Target) makes for a lovely addition to any stocking.

16

Flying Gliders

OMG, I had these Flying Gliders ($4, Amazon) when I was a kid, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this pack of six for under $5. I'm buying them — you totally should, too.

17

Mini Hand-Held Massager

Treat someone special to a little TLC with this HoMedics Quad Mini Hand-Held Massager ($5, Target). It's a deal that you really can't pass up.

18

Disney Mini Tsum Tsum Plush Toys

Scoop up one of these fun Disney Mini Tsum Tsum Plush Toys ($5, Target) for a little one who loves characters ranging from Mickey to Donald to Nemo.

19

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette

Have a teenager or makeup-loving BFF in your life? Then this Makeup Revolution Redemption Eyeshadow Palette ($5, Ulta) is the stocking stuffer for them.

20

Finger Lights

I mean, why wouldn't you buy this pack of four Finger Lights ($5, Amazon)? Like the shark hand puppet, I say this is one for big and little kids alike.
