Life
My whole life, I’ve wanted what I couldn’t have. Such is life, right? That sentiment rings especially true when it comes to my locks. As a straight-haired lady, I’ve coveted curls for as long as I can remember, and would stop at nothing to get them. Over the years, I tried curling irons and styling sprays to no avail. And while I don’t hate my straight hair anymore, it’d be nice to wake up with curls without going through an irreversible (and damaging) perm.
Do you relate? While getting your stick-straight locks to hold a curl may seem impossible now, it’s really not! The problem is that many of the techniques require an array of tools and products and are labor intensive – and ain’t nobody got time for that!
Luckily, there are plenty of ways to get curls overnight. What could be easier than having your hair process while you sleep? You don’t waste any time styling your hair, but still look like you took hours to get ready. Here are four of the easiest ways to transform your hair from straight to curly overnight. Who knows – maybe other straight-haired people will actually covet your curls for a change!

Foam Rollers
This is the old school method, and the one that probably reminds you of your grandma! But it’s a classic because it works. Section your hair and start the roller at the bottom. Roll up – not under – the pieces by your face and do the reverse (under, not up) for the rest of your hair. In the morning, you’ll have perfect curls!

Twist and Clip
For this you’ll need at least two large hair clips. Start with damp hair and divide it into two sections – one on each side of your head, as if you were putting your hair in pigtails. Twist one section, starting at the roots, as tightly as you can. Bring the twist up to the crown of your head and secure it in place with a clip. Repeat on the other side. When you wake up in the morning, remove the clips to reveal your beachy waves!
