9 Books To Read Before Their Movies Come Out This Summer

by Meg Kehoe

Another summer full of blockbuster movies is on its way, with more than a few of the films ready to lure in bookworms of all ages. Beyond the usual slew of summer hits, there are several literary adaptations making their way to the silver screen this year. Meaning there are a pile of books to read before their movies come out this summer. Whether or not you're a proponent of adaptations, you'll want to get your hands on the following books as soon as possible, so you can keep up, or be one step ahead of the curve. Because one thing I know to be true, is reading the book before you see the movie is always the way to go.

Maybe it's because once you've seen the movie, you feel like you already know the story, and it makes getting through a few hundred pages a little bit more difficult. But if you read the book before you see the movie, you're given a wealth of information. You allow your imagination to get caught up in the story, and create your own vision of what the story looks like. It's almost as if you're in on a secret club, where you know so much more about the character's motivations and development than anyone else in the theater. If all of that sounds like a dream, head to your local bookshop with the following titles in hand, and get to reading.
