9 Tricks To Get Out Of Bed Faster, Because Mornings Are Hard
byMeg Kehoe
I’m going to let you in on a secret. I’m not a morning person. I’ve never been a morning person. I’ve tried to become a morning person on multiple occasions, only to realize, you know what? I really prefer my life as a night owl, and 5 a.m. is a time of day that I’d rather not be familiar with. I’ve always wanted to be a morning person, but I can’t quite get myself there. It turns out I just need some tricks to get out of bed faster in the morning, because there’s just something about lying in my cozy bed in the morning (drifting into the afternoon) that I can’t let go of.
Even if I wake up before my alarm clock or I’m awake at the crack of dawn, I like to spend that dawn in the comfort of my own bed. But I don’t have the luxury of doing that seven days a week. In fact, I don’t even have the luxury of doing that three days a week. Which is why I need incentive to get myself out of bed in the morning, and incentive to light a fire under my morning-hating buns. With the help of a few friends who actually like to get up at dawn, I’ve compiled nine tricks to get you out of bed faster in the morning, in case you’re a morning ogre like me. Implementing these tricks is bound to make mornings a little easier, so let’s get to going.
