Clues Connor Is Alive On 'How To Get Away With Murder' Because He Can't Die Yet

by Zakiya Jamal

At the start of How to Get Away with Murder Season 3, it was revealed that in the next six weeks someone would be dead, which really shouldn't be all that surprising based on the show's title. However, unlike the first two seasons, we don't know who's dead from the beginning. Instead, each week it's revealed who's not dead and now it's been narrowed down to the guys: Frank, Wes, Asher, Nate, and Connor. And while the show has been dropping hints that Connor is the man under the sheet, here are just a few clues that prove Connor is alive on How to Get Away with Murder.

The biggest clue is the fact that the show is trying to convince us Connor is under the sheet. It's the classic bait and switch or red herring, if you will. They're leading us to believe Connor's under the sheet so we all get really stressed out, and then the big reveal is a huge shock because it's someone we didn't expect at all. It's a common trick and something How to Get Away with Murder fans have come to expect and can see right through. Another clue is the way Annalise reacted when she saw the body. Although she likes Connor, she definitely isn't as fond of him as she is of Nate and Wes. Annalise gets along with Connor well enough, but it's highly unlikely she would've had that kind of heart-wrenching reaction if it really is Connor under the sheet.

Lastly, the creator of How to Get Away with Murder, Pete Norwalk, has been pretty open about how he wants to represent the LGBTQ community on television and has done a great job so far. So it seems highly unlikely that Norwalk would kill off one of his most beloved gay characters — something that happens far too frequently on other shows already. That just doesn't seem like Norwalk's style, especially because Connor's death would in no way advance the plot of the show.

The fact of the matter is, Connor being under the sheet just seems highly unlikely at this point in time. Still, let us all join together in a prayer circle and ask for the protection of our true love, Connor Walsh. You know, just in case. It's better to be safe than sorry, after all.
