Fred's Instagram Proves He's Ready For Commitment

by Chrissy Bobic

Fans might not know a whole lot about Fred on this season of The Bachelorette just yet, but what we do know is that he definitely already has a past with Rachel — and one that places her as the object of his boyhood crush, no less. Although it might seem like he’s on the show for a gimmick, Fred’s Instagram proves this Bachelorette contestant is passionate about his career. So he’s likely not on the show to gain a leg up in show business or to be another “whaboom” kind of guy.

In fact, judging by Fred’s Instagram, he actually has a lot going on besides being a contestant on The Bachelorette. So if he’s just there to tell Rachel how he feels and hope that she can come to see him as someone other than the young, trouble-making camper she knew as a kid, then maybe his intentions really are pure. Since they knew each other when they were younger, Rachel might not know that Fred went on to graduate from Florida A&M University and that he now works for Chernin Entertainment, a production company that’s worked with big movies like War for the Planet of the Apes and Hidden Figures.

But before that, he had internships with The Hollywood Reporter and Paramount Pictures. In addition to getting his MBA from Florida A&M University, Fred also earned his Masters of Fine Arts in Film Production at Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts graduate school at the same time. And Fred’s Instagram shows just how successful and devoted to his career the Bachelorette contestant is.

You don’t earn two impressive degrees at the exact same time without having an amazing work and commitment ethic in general. That being said, if he’s that dedicated to working on his career and has already accomplished so much at the age of 27, then maybe that means he’s also ready for the commitment that comes with winning The Bachelorette.

According to Fred’s website, the executive assistant moved to Los Angeles soon after graduation and while that might seem like an indicator that he's on the show looking for fame, it was well before Rachel was the bachelorette, so skeptical Bachelorette fans need not worry. Although Rachel admitted on the show that it’s a little weird to see Fred now, all grown up and competing for her love, that doesn’t mean a connection between them is totally out of the question.

And if Fred can be as passionate about Rachel as he is about his career, then all that’s left is for her to continue to hand him the roses each week and get to know the man he's become.
