Are Gemini & The Illuminati Connected?

by Leah Rocketto

The world is full of — how shall I say this nicely — "interesting" theories, and some people are devout in their speculations. For members of the Bey Hive, that means believing Beyoncé is the Illuminati. And with the alleged June arrival of her twins, many are wondering if there are any Gemini Illuminati theories to support the conspiracy.

I know what you may be thinking — is this really people's biggest questions about Beyoncé's babies? Shouldn't they be more concerned with what Beyoncé named her twins or how Beyoncé is doing post-delivery? Probably. Thanks to Saturday Night Live, however, I learned you never mess with the Beygency's beliefs. And if this is what they chose to prioritize, who am I to stop them.

If you are unfamiliar with the Beyoncé Illuminati theories, or the Illuminati in general, here is a quick summary. First, what is the Illuminati? The Illuminati's official website defined Illuminati as, "an elite organization of world leaders, business authorities, innovators, artists, and other influential members of this planet." (So, really, anyone in Hollywood.) More specifically, as explained by Complex, the Illuminati is a group of people who posses special enlightenment or knowledge of something. So how does that relate to Bey? According to The Fader, the Beyoncé Illuminati rumors actually began with her husband, Jay Z. The site noted that, according to Illuminati theorists, the rapper's use of his hands to create a triangle — his signature move — is a "dead giveaway" of Illuminati-affiliation. And here I was thinking Jay Z was just showing off his geometry skills.

But the theories didn't stop there. When Beyoncé and Jay Z welcomed their first child in 2013, some believed the name Blue Ivy had hidden Illuminati meaning. Specifically, Born Living Under Evil Illuminati's Very Youngest. (Or, you know, they just loved the name.)

So naturally, it only makes sense that people would try to connect Beyoncé and Jay Z's twins to the Illuminati. Although the theories have been running rampant since Beyoncé announced her pregnancy in February, the June arrival of the twins have given theorist more ammunition, as there is a theory connecting Gemini — the astrological sign of Beyoncé's twins — to the Illuminati.

According to Embody Illuminati, a Tumblr dedicated to all things Illuminati, the number six is very significant in the Illuminati space. In addition to representing the Science of Good and Evil, the number six is represented by The Lovers in tarot cards. This particular card is linked to the House of Gemini which, if the birth dates are correct, is the astrological sign of Beyoncé's twins.

Coincidence? Most likely. Look, even Beyoncé brushed off these theories in "Formation" when she sang, "y'all haters corny with that Illuminati mess." Jay Z also addressed the theory in Rick Ross' "Free Mason" when he sang "I said I was amazing, not that I'm a Mason/I'm red hot, I'm on my third six, but a devil I'm not." (Granted, that could just be to throw off fans.)

That being said, if there was celebrity family to posses a certain enlightenment, I would want it to be the Knowles-Carters.
