Blac Chyna's Gets A Restraining Order Against Rob Kardashian

On Friday, civil rights attorney Lisa Bloom tweeted that she'll be in court on Monday to request Blac Chyna’s restraining order against Rob Kardashian. TMZ speculates that the order will "keep him at least 100 yards clear of her and, more importantly, to stop posting pics of Chyna's vagina." A restraining order does not necessarily mean that Kardashian committed a crime, and to date, he hasn’t been charged with anything, but that's not a requirement to obtain an order or protection. Rob Kardashian's representative has not yet responded to Romper's request for comment.

Update: Lisa Bloom emailed the following comment to Romper:

I am very proud to represent Blac Chyna as she stands up for her rights as a woman and as a mother against her ex, Rob Kardashian.

Yesterday Chyna retained me, and today we filed for temporary restraining orders to protect her rights.

Mr. Kardashian, you are now on notice: revenge porn is illegal. Cyberbullying your ex is harassment. Chyna ended your relationship months ago and she has the right to live as she chooses, work as she chooses, dress as she chooses, date who she chooses, and be intimate with who she chooses. Chyna and I both believe that this is an important women’s rights issue, as too many women and girls have been slut-shamed by exes.

It stops now. Your attempts to shame and control her are hereby rejected.

Her body, her choice. Her life, her choice. Back off.

On Monday at 8:30am Chyna, my co-counsel Walter Mosley and I will appear in Los Angeles Superior Court, 111 N. Hill St., Dept. 8, Los Angeles, CA to request the appropriate restraining orders to require Mr. Kardashian to behave like a grownup toward the mother of his baby.

Previously: The announcement comes two days after the bitter feud between the formerly engaged couple came to an ugly head. On Wednesday morning, Kardashian spent hours sharing graphic and explicit Instagram posts disparaging his ex. He accused Chyna of infidelity and substance abuse, and shared multiple nude photos of the model/entrepreneur, who is the mother of his daughter, Dream, born last November. His account was eventually shut down, but Instagram offered only a vague statement, via ABC News: "We value maintaining a safe and supportive space for our community and we work to remove reported content that violates our guidelines." Kardashian then moved on to Twitter, where he kept the accusations and the expletives, but wisely refrained from posting any more photos.

Presumably, the restraining order isn't actually to prevent Kardashian from sharing unauthorized nude photos of Chyna, as that's already classified as misdemeanor disorderly conduct under California's so-called "revenge porn" law. But in some cases, posting about someone on social media, even without contacting them directly, may be considered a violation of a restraining order. This could be Chyna's attempt to curb Kardashian's habit of dragging her online.

There's one more reason Chyna might want that order, and it's pretty grim. During Wednesday morning's Instagram tirade, Chyna responded with a pair of Snapchat posts, which are no longer available. The first, according to People, read, "Rob u did all this but u beat me up and try act it never happen!!!!! U put hand on me I swear on god!!!! On my kids but I’m supposed to be quiet because you’re a Kardashian." The second said simply, "The light will come to the light." There's no comment from either side, but it sure seems like an accusation of assault, and perhaps multiple counts of child abuse (Chyna has a 4-year-old son, King Cairo Stevenson, from a previous relationship). The public may never know the full story, but let's hope everyone, including the kids, are kept safe.
