Dorit & Paul Kemsley Met In An Interesting Way

by Kathleen Walsh

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has a new cast member, and her name is Dorit Kemsley. Don't let the odd accent fool you though, she's as American as any of the other ladies, but her husband isn't. So how did RHOBH couple Dorit and Paul Kemsley meet? Since Dorit has spoken so often about how much she's traveled, you'd be forgiven for imagining that they met in London or somewhere else abroad. However, it turns out that this romance was made in America, just like Dorit, even if it doesn't seem like it.

According to her Bravo bio, Dorit met her husband Paul, who goes by the nickname P.K., at a restaurant in New York City when they both were living there. On the show, P.K. himself called the meeting "random." But apparently it was kismet, because they fell in love and got married and now they have two beautiful children. (No word on what Dorit's accent sounded like when they first met, however.) They moved to California in May of 2015 where they now currently live in a 10,000 square foot home with Boy George that once belonged to Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. It's certainly an extravagant life and lifestyle, but they seem to make it work.

It's sadly not that often that you see real and genuine displays of affection between spouses on The Real Housewives. Sometimes husbands can be downright mean. Luckily, however, P.K. doesn't appear to be someone who will fall into that category. At the lavish 40th birthday party that he threw for her, PK gave a heartwarming speech in which he credited her for making him the man he is today, and everyone gave a giant "awww." The couple's two children, young son Jagger and infant daughter Phoenix, are equally adorable, though who knows what kind of funny accent they'll grow up speaking with.

It's far too early to tell whether or not Dorit will manage to make it on the show for more than one season. As of right now her only real beef seems to be with Erika Girardi, who made the scandalous decision not to wear underwear at a party once for the sake of her dress and lack of panty lines. It's an odd way to take a storyline, but the women have created a whole season out of pettier issues. (Not much pettier, but still). But as for what's next for Dorit? We'll just have to wait and see.
