How To Make A Pumpkin Spice Latte With Real Pumpkin, Because Sure, You've Got Nothing But Extra Time — VIDEO

Confession 1: It occurred to me yesterday that I've yet to have a pumpkin spice latte this year, which makes me feel like I'm letting down my fellow Millennial women. However, this may have to change now that I've watched this nearly 7-minute video about how to make a pumpkin spice latte from scratch. Spoiler alert: It contains actual pumpkin, and you are not prepared for how much you're going to want one after watching.

Confession 2: When this video first came into my life this morning, I didn't think I'd need it. Who am I to consider making a PSL at home when I have access to plenty of local coffee shops readily prepared to take my money and offer me a PSL masterpiece of their making? If it's not broken, why fix it?

But then, I actually watched the video.

And you guys, something came over me. Something that felt like a cross between hypnosis and an outdoor shower in tropical place. This video is captivating. It's everything that's right in the world. Even if you don't fancy yourself a home chef and have no intention of making a PSL yourself, I challenge you not to enjoy the skillful and straight-up beautiful delivery displayed here. I'm not just one step closer to being able to make my own pumpkin spice latte now, I'm a better person because this video exists. And so, if you fancy yourself in any one of these categories, you'll probably enjoy it too: people who actually want to make PSLs at home, people who like cooking and kitchens in general, people who appreciate perfect hands, people who like the idea of Pinterest coming alive and sprinkling cinnamon onto your soul, people who have a soul.

Here's a quick preview, so you can see what I mean:

I don't even have one of those blooming metal things in my kitchen, but I'm now determined to live a life that requires one.

I also can't believe I've spent my entire life not appreciating the art of the delicate sprinkle.

This shiny espresso machine is more beautiful than everything that's ever existed in my kitchen (not including people).

Do they give Oscars for beverage tutorials?

Here's the complete video. Make sure your speakers are on because the soft piano music and the ambient kitchen noises are part of the immersive experience. (That sounds sarcastic but, for once, it's actually not.)
