How To Make Slime Without Shaving Cream

by Ni'Kesia Pannell

When I was a kid, my sister and I dreamed of going on Nickelodeon's What Would You Do just to get slimed. Though it was green and gross looking, there was always something about that slime that seemed so cool. My love for slime never subsided, so imagine my excitement when I became a Girl Scout troop leader a few years ago and has an excuse to make slime. In doing so, I learned how to make slime without shaving cream to cut down on the mess without cutting out the fun.

Prior to this, I thought all slime had to be made with shaving cream. My mom used it as an excuse to keep my sister and I from making the creation ourselves. (Seriously, parents will tell any type of lie to keep their house clean.) So, when I was able to make it with my Girl Scout troop, I knew that I'd finally found a way to live out one part of my youth that needed resurrecting.

If you're looking for a fun way to bring back the '90s or just need a fun activity to do with your kids this weekend, you should take these shaving cream-free slime recipes into consideration.
