How To Tell If You Have Instagram Stickers

Let's be honest; Instagram is just killing it these days. First of all, the geniuses at Instagram gave us filters to make us look 45 percent more beautiful online, which is really the only place that matters, right? (I kid.) Then came Instagram Stories which made everyone lose their minds before they calmed down enough to just enjoy themselves. And now, we're all about those great new Instagram stickers. Because Instagram is super user-friendly, it's pretty easy to figure out how to tell if you have Instagram stickers. Yet another great thing about the nice people at Instagram; they walk you through everything step by step like you're a 5-year-old without actually making you feel like you're a 5-year-old.

Instagram rolled out a whole pile of Instagram stickers on Dec. 20. much like the Snapchat geofilters those young kids are loving so much these days (OK, one slight issue with Instagram? Dude, come up with your own ideas every now and again!). The Instagram stickers are part of the whole Instagram Stories package, where users can share videos and photos with their followers to express themselves more fully than the original Instagram platform of heavily edited photos allowed. Instagram Stories only last 24 hours, which means you can't really take a day off from your social media game. Like, ever. Which feels a bit like living inside a horror movie... but at least we now have adorable, seasonally-appropriate stickers to look at!

Instagram stickers aren't just seasonal, of course; they display location information, time, weather, and emoji so your followers can feel like they're right in your story with you, without actually having to be with you. Cool, right? Want to know if you have Instagram stickers? According to the Instagram blog:

Tap the smiley face to find customizable stickers for weather, the current time and even your location. Adding a location sticker works the same as adding location to the posts you share to feed — simply choose or search for your location. People watching your story will be able to tap the sticker to learn more about the location, but your story won’t show up on the location page itself.

Users can customize stickers by moving them around, changing their size, making them subtle or vibrant depending on the mood they might be trying to impart. It's all very artistic.

Along with Instagram stickers, the company also launched a hands-free option for creating video in Instagram Stories. And you know what that means... your news feed will soon be plentiful with earnest guitar solos and ukulele riffs.
