Dream On Me Is Recalling More Than 23,000 Of These Crib & Toddler Mattresses

Getting the news that a product you might use has been recalled is never especially welcome. But finding out that the product is something you use with your kids? That's always a little on the panic-inducing side. So you're going to want to know how to tell if your toddler's mattress was recalled, because you're probably going to need to either have it repaired or have it replaced.

According to Consumer Reports, Dream On Me has recalled approximately 23,000 mattresses. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall because of a potential flammability hazard. "The mattresses fail to meet the mandatory federal flammability standard for mattresses, posing a fire hazard," according to the CPSC.

The New Jersey-based company has recalled both the Dream On Me toddler mattress as well as the Evolur crib and toddler mattress. These mattresses were sold in major retailers across the country like Walmart, Kohl's, Amazon, Wayfair, and Toys "R" Us online only. The mattresses in question were sold between January 2016 and December 2016, and retailed between $40 to $90 per unit. As of Thursday, no incidents or accidents were reported as a result of the recalled mattress, according to the CPSC.

Romper has reached out to Dream On Me for comment regarding the recall and is awaiting a reply.

While the Dream On Me mattress brand has issued a recall, both the crib and toddler coil and spring mattresses have received positive reviews from users in the past. Amazon reviewers gave the Dream On Me 3-inch foam mattress 4.5 stars out of 5, and most reviews cited the mattress as being comfortable and convenient.
