The One Social Media App Dorit Doesn't Have

by Chrissy Bobic

When you're a parent, social media suddenly becomes the way for you to not only show off your adorable kids, but also a way for you to share them with the world. So when you're a reality TV star, that expectation for a lively and full social media presence is that much stronger. Dorit has things covered on both grounds with it comes to Instagram, but is Dorit Kemsley on Snapchat? The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is certainly no stranger to social media or utilizing it to strengthen her brand (that's a thing with Real Housewives stars, right?), but right now, it looks like she's absent from Snapchat. Still, she definitely knows what it is.

In an episode earlier this season on RHOBH, there was some major drama with Dorit's husband, PK, after he accidentally caught a glimpse up the skirt of housewife Erika Girardi, who claimed to have no idea that PK had gotten a view of the goods until Dorit went around talking about it to literally everyone. Then, she bought some nude underwear for Erika as a sarcastic retort over the incident. But then the whole panty-gate thing was given the nickname of "Sn*tchchat" — an obvious nod to the social media app Snapchat — which just made things worse. So Dorit is definitely familiar with the app, but she just doesn't seem to have an actual account for herself.

Dorit's first Instagram post, years ago, was of her now-two-year-old son, Jagger, as a baby, and as her star grew, so did her number of posts per week. Now, fans can get an almost constant glimpse into Dorit's life when RHOBH isn't on, but the Real Housewives star has yet to explore the Snapchat realm for some reason.

With more than 55,000 followers on Instagram, she probably doesn't even need to branch out into other social media platforms to gain a bigger following, but some of her RHOBH co-stars definitely already jumped on the Snapchat train. Erika Girardi a.k.a. Erika Jayne's Snapchat handle is ThePrettyMess, Kyle Richards' is KRUmansky, and Lisa Rinna's is LisaRinna1. In a way, you can't help but expect Dorit to jump on the bandwagon eventually, but you also have to remember that while she's totally game for stirring up trouble and drama, she's also a newbie for Season 7 of RHOBH, so she's still kind of new to the whole reality TV housewife thing.

And because of that, having a Snapchat account might not be all that important to her just yet. But give her time, because something tells me that Dorit has no problem with getting extra attention.
