Tweets Making Jokes About Kim Kardashian Being Held At Gunpoint Are Not Appropriate

Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint and reportedly robbed of millions in jewelry at her fancy Paris hotel. The entire experience sounds terrifying. But that didn't stop the internet haters from coming out in full force to make light of he situation. Tweets making jokes about Kim K being held at gunpoint are not appropriate and should make us all wonder where our humanity has gone.

The first hint we got that something might be wrong in with the West-Kardashian family, was when Kanye, right in the middle of a concert in Queens, New York, in fact, right in the middle of his song "Heartless," cut the show short saying he had to leave because of a family emergency. Shortly after that, news broke that Kim Kardashian had been robbed while inside her Paris hotel. The star was reportedly locked in a bathroom while the thieves made off with two cell phones and millions of dollars worth of jewelry, including a ring valued at $5 million and a jewelry box with another $5 million worth of jewelry.

Luckily, no one was hurt. And after speaking with police about the robbery, Kim K got on a plane and headed back home. According to a statement from her spokesman to the Associate Press, Kim was "badly shaken but physically unharmed," according to the Associated Press.

We all know that Kim can't do much of anything without courting a little controversy. It's how she became famous. But when social media starts celebrating a woman becoming a victim of a violent crime, things have gone too far.

But the truth is, regardless of how rich and glamorous she is, regardless of how many thirsty selfies she takes, we're talking about a wife and a mother being the victim of a violent attack. Have we really lost so much of our empathy and humanity that we would rather celebrate her misfortune that show concern for her basic safety?
