Wes Is Alive On 'How To Get Away With Murder,' But He's The One Who Betrayed Annalise

The burning question this season on How To Get Away With Murder has been the topic of who is under the sheet, and with each passing episode, viewers have been able to see at least one person who isn't. And while finding out that Wes is alive on How To Get Away With Murder this week was a relief for most fans, it also came at the price of learning that he's the one who betrayed Annalise and put her in jail in those flash-fowards. So what happened in the two weeks from now, leading up to the fire, to make Wes distrust her so much?

As it stands right now, Annalise will be arrested, presumably for the fire at her house, and Wes will be the one responsible, trading in his testimony for immunity. However, the reasoning behind this could go one of two ways. Either Annalise has done something irrevocable to lose his trust and loyalty in the next two weeks until the fire, or they're pulling the old switcheroo on us and Wes and Annalise are somehow working together.

If you think about it, a lot of attention was placed on that immunity deal that Wes had drawn up at the police station. The same deal that had to be perfect, including and excluding the right things, in order for him to give them a solid statement on Annalise.

So it's entirely possible that Wes and Annalise are working together for a greater mutual reason, despite what it looks like. If Wes hasn't turned on Annalise yet, after learning about her being responsible for the death of Rebecca and in a way, his mother too, then nothing is going to turn him against the surrogate mother of the Keating Five at this point.

By insisting that the immunity form be revised, Wes could also be stalling. Annalise and Wes have been placed in two different interrogation rooms, but who's to say that there isn't a third person working with them to save Annalise and get Wes off the hook? After all, on a show like this, you can never be too sure how it will all play out.

There is still one episode left until the mid-season finale and until fans find out who is under the sheet at long last. But now many are dying to know what Wes is up to and whether or not this means war for him and Annalise.
