What Are The Final Four Words Of The 'Gilmore Girls' Revival? It Comes With A Twist

(Warning: This post contains spoilers from Episode 4 of the Gilmore Girls revival.) After years and years of theorizing and wondering what those mysterious final four words were that Amy Sherman-Palladino had wanted to end the show with all those years ago, fans were finally given the answer they've yearned to hear. But was it everything they had hoped for? What are the final four words of the Gilmore Girls revival? It came with a pretty epic twist that will probably leave many wondering whether or not the series plans to continue on with even more episodes.

In the final few moments of the "Fall" episode, Rory and Lorelai are sitting down on the steps of the beloved Stars Hollow gazebo, basking in the wonderfulness of the town. (We've all been there.) But that's when Rory decided to drop a bombshell on all of us. Here's how the brief but shocking conversation went down: "Mom," Rory said. "Yeah?," Lorelai responded. Which was immediately followed by Rory saying, "I'm pregnant." Yup, that just happened. No you are not hallucinating from lack of sleep or turkey overdose. Rory is going to be a mother, which makes the series kinda come full circle, in a way, I guess.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this ending, especially if this is just how the story ends completely. For starters, we have no idea who the father of Rory's baby is. Logically, you would think it would be Logan's since we know for a fact they've been intimate all throughout the revival. But then again, Jess recently came back into her life and it was clear by the way he looked at her through the window before leaving that he still had feelings for her in that way. Is it possible the two of them were intimate and the audience just didn't see it? And what is Rory's plan going to be now that she's an expectant mother?

All of this is left up in the air and if anything it left a huge cliffhanger rather than a sense of closure. I was expecting to walk away feeling like there was nothing left to tell of this story, but now I need to know how this all plays out. Maybe that was the plan all along — to forever leave us wanting more? Regardless, wherever this story leads, I will be sure to follow.
