Late Wednesday night, singer Justin Bieber was involved in what could have been a much more serious accident than it turned out to be. What happened to Justin Bieber? According to ABC News, the 23-year-old singer accidentally hit a photographer with his Dodge Ram pickup truck — and the entire accident was caught on camera by another photographer. Both Bieber and the photographer, identified only as a 57-year-old male, are OK, despite the photographer being sent to the hospital following the incident. Representatives for Bieber did not immediately respond to Romper's request for comment.

Bieber was exiting the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, California, where the venue hosts religious services for the City Church on Wednesday nights. In the video, Bieber's truck can be seen being surrounded by about a dozen paparazzi as the singer exited the venue following church services. As flashbulbs fire off and the paparazzi can be seen and heard bombarding Bieber with questions, the singer calmly got into his truck and started the engine. When Bieber drove forward, the crowd of photographers parted, but as he pulled away, one photographer yelled out and fell to the ground as Bieber's truck passed him.

A spokesperson from the Beverly Hills Police Department told CNN that the collision between Bieber's truck and the photographer was an accident.

Following the collision, Bieber got out of his truck and immediately went to the photographer's side to see if he was okay. In the video, Bieber can be heard asking the man, "What do you need? Is there anything we can do to help you?" The photographer on the ground said his leg had gotten caught in the tire of Bieber's truck as the vehicle passed him. Other photographers on the scene can be heard saying that an ambulance had already been called. According to People, the photographer was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

On Monday, Bieber unexpectedly canceled the rest of his "Purpose" tour. In a statement to Romper, a tour representative said only that the cancellation was due to "unforeseen circumstances," without elaborating any further on what those circumstances actually were. Bieber had been touring for the past 16 months, performing in more than 150 shows across 40 countries, according to The New York Times. Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, posted to Instagram on Monday saying that the cancellation was for Bieber's "soul and well-being."

An insider close to Bieber told ET that ultimately, the decision to cancel the last leg of his "Purpose" tour was because the singer was "exhausted," saying, "He needed a break and as much as he didn't want to disappoint his fans, the best decision for him was to cancel the remaining tour dates." Wednesday night's accident definitely isn't going to do anything to help Bieber's plans to relax, as he told TMZ Monday — but he can take solace in knowing that no one was seriously injured.
