Amal Clooney Is Due Any Day Now

Renowned human rights lawyer Amal Clooney and her husband, an actor named George, are expecting twins, and soon. But many fans who are anxiously awaiting the dual bundles of joy want to know more specifics. When is Amal Clooney due? Although the couple hasn't shared the exact due date, all signs point to the Clooney twins making their grand entrance into the world sometime within the next week or so. (Yes, that's around the same time as Beyoncé's twins. It's a good moment for power celebrity babies.)

The biggest hint about Amal's due date comes from recent comments made by George, who had to skip the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity event in Yerevan, Armenia, on Sunday, even though he co-founded and normally co-chairs the event, and it seems to be very dear to his heart. The 56-year-old actor did record a video message for the crowd, though, in which he reportedly told the assembled guests, "I really would have been there, but if I came there and my wife had twins while I was there, I could never come home." Yup, makes sense.

So it certainly sounds as if the twins could be coming any day now. A source confirmed as much to Entertainment Tonight, revealing that while Amal's due date was reportedly set in the first week of June, George and Amal were expecting to deliver early.

And as if all that weren't enough evidence for an impending delivery, another source told E! News last week that Amal had officially gone on maternity leave. Given how hard Amal works, it seems safe to say that's a big sign that the babies are coming soon.

The power couple announced that they'd be blessing the world with two babies (who will, in all likelihood, be charming, brilliant, and gorgeous like their parents) back in February. The couple got married back in 2014. In 2015, George told People that falling in love with Amal shook up his entire life in the best possible way, saying,

All I know is that it sort of changed everything in terms of what I thought my future — my future personal future — was going to be. I’ve always been an optimist about the world. I wasn’t always completely optimistic about how it was going to work out personally for me. But now I am.
