When Are Beyonce's Beautiful Twins Due?!?!

by Jenn Rose

Yes, I know Beyoncé fans are beyond fatigued with the pregnancy rumors. At this point, Bey is the Jennifer Aniston of music. But this is not a drill: she's actually confirmed that she's pregnant – with twins! So when is Beyoncé due? She hasn't revealed a date yet, but it could be another six months or so. Your queen has shared a pregnancy photo on Instagram, and when aliens find it in one million years, they will likely assume that the singer is some sort of fertility goddess, because damn, does she look magical. And in case you thought it was possible that she was just showing off her post-burrito body without shame, the captions makes it clear:

We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters

By two. By two! Just imagine how cute Blue Ivy's little siblings will be in matchy-matchy outfits, in Vanity Fair photo spreads, in their tiny Halloween costumes... This is happening, and it's happening at a time when Beyonc é fans could really use some good news. What perfect timing.

Though she hasn't revealed a due date, she does appear to be "showing" in the photo. What complicates that showing-ness, though, is the fact that she is pregnant with twins, which are clearly going to take up more space than a single baby. Usually parents announce pregnancies at around the three-month mark. If Beyonc é is somewhere around three months, she would be due sometime around August.

I know we're not supposed to get distracted from the news, but can we all agree to take a 1-minute break and freak out about this for just a little bit? Beyoncé took control of the narrative by breaking the story herself at about 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. The gossip sites quickly picked it up, and about 20 minutes later, the legitimate media and the public at large began to catch on. Go check your Twitter; it's probably all caps by now. America is being blessed with two more members of their royal family, huzzah!

Unfortunately, that's all we know for now, and that may be all we know for quite some time, as Beyoncé is notoriously averse to granting interviews. Pregnancy might even make her less likely to make a public appearance, since the last time she did an interview while pregnant, it sparked a rumor that still endures today. During an appearance on Australia's Sunday Night HD in 2011, the singer's "bump" seemed to collapse as she sat down, causing some to accuse her of faking her pregnancy. She has, of course, denied the rumor, and one wonders if the choice to pose with a bare stomach for the Instagram shot wasn't an intentional preemptive strike against the rumor mill. Congratulations to Beyoncé and Jay Z. We can't wait for your next surprise.
