Rachel's 'Bachelorette' Hometown Dates Are Upon Us

The competition is getting narrower on The Bachelorette as Rachel Lindsay starts to figure out just who it is she's really clicking with — and who she's ready to send home. Every contestant she lets go brings everyone else one step closer to the final rose and the reveal of who she gets engaged to at the end of all this. But before a ring ends up on anyone's finger, a few steps have to be taken. Namely, every perspective suitor (Rachel included) must meet the parents. But who are Rachel's hometown dates on The Bachelorette?

Here's where things get tricky, because determining Rachel's hometown dates could wade into spoiler territory. There are still six guys in the game at the end of Week 6: Eric, Peter, Bryan, Matt, Dean, and Adam. But just because her final four hasn't technically been released yet, it doesn't mean viewers can't guess. The final four guys — and the four sets of parents Rachel might be jetting off to meet for hometowns — almost seem a little obvious at this point. It's clear Rachel has preferences for some of them, so when it comes to hometown dates there might not be any major surprises in store. A TVGuide.com poll hinted at what the fans were thinking: Bryan Abasolo, Peter Kraus, Eric Bigger, and Dean Unglert seem to be the popular choices for the final four.

For the most part, those are all guys Rachel clicked with pretty quickly. First impressions can be a great indicator of who will end up going far in the competition, so those initial meetings really count. Rachel liked Bryan instantly, even giving him the first impressions rose, and that connection hasn't dimmed in the intervening weeks. Rachel also seemed to hit it off with Peter right away; even if an abrupt hot tub makeout didn't result in him getting a group date rose in Week 5, he earned that rose in the following week. It definitely bodes well for his future.

Eric may not have the obvious frontrunner qualities of Bryan and Peter, but he's connected with Rachel, too. They bonded on a one-on-one date in Denmark and that emotional connection could grow in the next few weeks. As for Dean — he's there too. Matt and Adam just don't seem to have the same staying power, though losing Adam Jr. will be a tragedy of epic proportions.

Rachel is getting closer and closer to choosing the man she wants to marry, and hometown dates could solidify that decision. There's still enough time to go in the competition for things to change, but right now it seems easy enough to predict.
