Why Is Rachel Crying On 'The Bachelorette'?

by Chrissy Bobic

One of the worst things you can do as a contestant on The Bachelorette is get into it with another contestant and continue to run to the Bachelorette herself about it. Unfortunately, for the better part of this season, Rachel's been dealing with the he said/he said of Lee and Kenny's feud and now the preview for Tuesday's episode shows her emotions finally reaching a breaking point. So, why is Rachel crying on The Bachelorette?

Clearly, the stress of the show is taking its toll on her and since viewers also know from the preview that some kind of physical altercation likely happens, presumably between Kenny and Lee, it probably has something to do with the outcome of that. Typically, the two-on-one dates on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are designed to give the Bachelor or Bachelorette the chance to end drama between two contestants by sending one home for good. But judging by the preview for Tuesday's episode of The Bachelorette, Rachel sending one half of the feuding pair home doesn't end the drama by a long shot.

First, you hear Kenny shouting, "Do you want a piece of me?" followed by the shot of his eye cut open and bleeding. Then there are some scenes of Rachel, presumably on her way to a rose ceremony, but clearly distraught.

It looks like Tuesday's episode will be the conclusion of the Lee and Kenny saga part of The Bachelorette, meaning that Rachel had to choose someone to send home, but since it's very possible that she chose to send them both packing, she could be crying because of regret. And since it's obvious that Kenny gets hurt, that could make things even more upsetting for her.

Rachel is heard saying, "I don't think this was fair to him and I don't know what I'm gonna do." My best guess is that Rachel chooses to keep Lee, but Kenny still gets hurt, or she decides to send them both home and later finds it tougher than she thought it would be to deal with that decision.

On The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, it's never easy to make these kinds of decisions, because you could be sending home someone who might have been better for you than some of the contestants still left. But Rachel needs to do what's best for her and what feels right. Too much time has been dedicated to all of this drama, when really Rachel and her happiness should be the main focus. So let's just hope that whatever ends up making her cry will get cleared up soon. Because while I don't know how this season will play out, I do know that she deserves a happily ever after.
