Will AirpPods Come With The iPhone 7? Apple Is Going Wireless

Apple has done it again; the creator of the iPhone has come out with a new version that trumps all other devices on the market. At the annual Apple event in San Francisco on Wednesday, Marketing Executive Phil Schiller announced a "courageous new" feature for the soon-to-be-available iPhone 7; wireless AirPods to replace wired headphones. But will these AirPods come with the purchase of an iPhone 7? If the internet has anything to say about it, they certainly should.

So internet, I've got some good news for you; the sleek new iPhone 7 will be sold with a set of AirPods. These AirPods will connect through your awesome new phone's lightning port and will have a battery life of five hours. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will no longer feature the 3.5-millimeter audio jack for old-school headphones, and Schiller is feeling pretty brave about the decision. According to The Daily Beast, Schiller told the crowd at the Apple Event, "It all comes down to courage." Schiller also told the crowd that Apple wants to guide consumers towards a "wireless future," and referred to wired technology as "ancient." I don't know why, but that sort of hurt my feelings.

And how about you, internet? How are you feeling about the advent of the new era in headphones, these wireless AirPods?

Some people seemed justifiably concerned that they might lose these precious AirPods (which will be available for individual purchase for $159 in October in stores).

For those Apple customers who are worried about losing their AirPods, have no fear; Apple will also include an adapter with the purchase of an iPhone 7 for those old schoolers who want to stick with their wired headphones.

Although I have a feeling many of the naysayers will become converts in a hurry with the hip new AirPods. After all, you don't want to be that guy who is still carrying around a Sony Discman when everyone else has an mp3 player. I was that girl. It wasn't fun.

Besides, the AirPods have some impressive new features. For instance, users can connect their AirPods to their Apple device simply by opening the case and clicking "connect." While the AirPods can last for five hours on their own, the charging case can reportedly be relied upon for up to 25 hours. The Airpods are also equipped with a mic, so users can talk or access Siri with them.

All in all, guys, I say if we don't lose the AirPods they will basically be amazing. Just don't lose them. Seriously.
