Will Prince George & Princess Charlotte Be In Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding?

It looks like another girl is getting her fairytale happily ever after, and this time she's an American. The most recent royal engagement has the world asking a million questions yet again. One question pertains to the wedding party. Namely, will Prince George and Princess Charlotte be in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding? The two little royals made such a sweet addition to Pippa Middleton's special day that it's only natural for fans to want to see the two of them involved in another royal wedding.

Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement on Monday after dating since July 2016. The BBC reported that the wedding is to be held in Spring of 2018 following what Prince Harry described as a "very romantic proposal." While the Queen and other close family and friends have known of the engagement for a while now, according to the BBC, the news wasn't shared publicly until Monday.

Members of both the royal family and the Markles have weighed in on the impending union and it seems to be smiles all around. Kate Middleton and Prince William, for example, shared in a statement that they couldn't be happier for the couple. “We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together," they said, according to Us Weekly.

Markle's parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, are also reportedly "incredibly happy," and the BBC reported that they said their daughter was a "kind and loving person." They seem to think highly of their future son-in law as well. "To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents," they added.

Considering the busy lifestyle that comes with royalty, you may be wondering who all will be in attendance at Markle and Prince Harry's wedding. If the hefty guest list and adorable wedding party at Pippa Middleton's is any indication, there will be no shortage of royal family members. Prince William and Prince Harry both attended the wedding, according to Vanity Fair, as well as sister-of-the-bride Kate Middleton.

Some of the littlest members of the royal family, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, played integral roles in the ceremony. George served as a page boy and Charlotte was a picture perfect bridesmaid, according to Hello! Magazine. Given the large bridal party of young bridesmaids and pageboys that the royal weddings tend to favor, it would not be at all surprising to see Charlotte and George reprise their roles in Prince Harry's and Markle's wedding, but there is some concern about the Duchess of Cambridge's due date for her and Harry's third child.

Along with the engagement announcement, Markle and Prince Harry shared that the wedding is scheduled for Spring of 2018. While no official wedding date has been announced, the royal family shared that Kate is due in Spring, April 2018 to be exact, according to Vanity Fair. If the wedding and birth don't overlap, the entire family could be at the ceremony. But if Kate doesn't make it to the wedding, there's still the possibility that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will still be in attendance.

Details about the ceremony and wedding party have yet to be released, but more information while hopefully be shared in the near future — such as how the family plans to manage potentially overlapping timelines. And considering the public's obsession with all things royal, any information on the coming nuptials will be welcomed. While there is no bank holiday on the calendar for this ceremony, having a woman of color in the royal family is more than enough reason to celebrate.
