Another 'Paradise' TV Wedding Could Be In The Works

by Chrissy Bobic

Through all of the drama, heartache, and love triangles this season on Bachelor in Paradise, the one good thing to come out of it all was definitely Taylor and Derek’s relationship, which has seemed strong and legit the entire time. And since the rumors are flying that the couple is already engaged, will Taylor and Derek get married on TV? The Bachelor in Paradise couple wouldn’t be the first to do it and they’d be following in the footsteps of some pretty strong couples.

According to People, the couple got engaged during the Aug. 30 taping of the Bachelor in Paradise after show and judging by the preview for the finale special, the rumor is more than likely true. Of course, neither Derek or Taylor have come forward to confirm their engagement, but who else seemed like they were already honeymooning in Paradise? But if they’re the engaged couple from Bachelor in Paradise Season 4, will Derek and Taylor get married on-screen like so many Bach duos before them?

Since their engagement has yet to be confirmed by either of them, the definite answer is unclear, but if they follow in the footsteps of their Bachelor in Paradise predecessors, I think it’s safe to say there will be another Paradise wedding sooner rather than later.

Jade and Tanner famously met during Season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise and for their season they were the "it" couple. So much so that their relationship became the goal for many of the contestants during Season 3, so when Evan and Carly ended up connecting and later getting engaged on the Season 3 finale of Bachelor in Paradise, they became yet another couple to give everyone relationship goals.

While Jade and Tanner didn’t get married at Playa Escondida, the Bachelor in Paradise resort in Mexico, they did welcome Bachelor Nation into their California wedding in January 2016 and allowed it to be a televised event that aired on Valentine’s Day. For Evan and Carly, fans got to watch their wedding play out during a special episode of Bachelor in Paradise this season when they returned to Mexico to get married in a ceremony officiated by none other than Chris Harrison and attended by some of their closest friends.

Shortly after, Carly and Evan discovered that they’re expecting their first child together and since Jade and Tanner welcomed their own baby on Aug. 17, there’s definitely something to be said for the success of Bachelor in Paradise couples. Maybe there’s something in the water or those perfectly mixed cocktails?

Since a wedding date hasn't even been announced yet, it’s too soon to tell if Taylor and Derek would be into a televised affair, but fans have come to love them so much as a couple that they’d almost be cruel to not follow the tradition.
