The Fate Of 'Flaked' Is Up In The Air

Will Arnett is back for the second season of Flaked. Just like most Netflix shows, the entire season gets released all at the same time, leaving many fans to already wonder will there be a Flaked Season 3? Unfortunately, it's too early to call, but as long as people keep watching there's a good chance it'll get renewed. However, only time will tell for sure.

The second season picks up where the first season left off. Arnett's character Chip, a recovering alcoholic, has found himself ostracized from the local community of Venice, California after selling them out. Now he's lost his store, his friends, his reputation, and his bike. He doesn't even have a place to crash. The only thing he does still have is his love interest London (played by Ruth Kearney) and she may be slipping away from him as well.

In this new season, Chip will have to work his way back into the good graces of the community. He does so by asking Dennis (played by David Sullivan) to be his sponsor and helps out another friend with a new business venture. Of course, just when it seems like Chip may be on his way to making things right, he falls of the wagon and starts lying again. Throughout the season, fans will see Chip make big choices, between his best friend or the love his life and his lies or sobriety.

The show, which was created by Arnett and Mark Chappell, will also star Lina Esco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kirstie Alley, Heather Graham, Annabeth Gish, Robert Wisdom, Mark Boone Junior, and Elisabeth Röhm. Arnett himself is a recovering alcoholic, which seems to be where the inspiration for the show came from. According to Business Insider, Arnett began heavily drinking back in 2000 when a NBC sitcom he was on, The Mike O'Malley Show, was cancelled and he struggled to find work.

After struggling for four to five months, a close friend got Arnett to Alcoholics Anonymous. After that he was sober for 15 years, until working on the first season of Flaked actually led him to drinking again. "As I was writing... [Flaked] and I started shooting it, I started getting confused about where I was at," he told The Hollywood Reporter. Thankfully, Arnett was able to call a friend who helped him get the support he needed.
