Zach & Tori Roloff Share New Photos Of Jackson

by Alana Romain

It's been over a month now since Little People, Big World's Zach and Tori Roloff welcomed their first son, Jackson Kyle, into the world, and much to their fans' delight, the smitten new parents have been more than happy to provide plenty of updates about him on social media. On Monday, Zach and Tori Roloff shared new photos of Jackson on Instagram to celebrate Zach's first-ever Father's Day, and it's pretty clear that the couple is loving life with their baby boy.

According to People, Zach spent the day celebrating with his extended family at Roloff farm in Oregon, and posted a special social media tribute to his son the next day. Along with a beautiful black-and-white photo of Jackson snoozing with his hands clasped together, Zach gave a Father's Day shout out to the special men in his life, and wrote, "it doesn't get much better than this."

Tori also took the opportunity to share some snaps of her son, along with a sweet message for her husband. Posting a pic of the proud new dad holding his son shortly after his birth, Tori wrote about how much she loves seeing the two of them together, and said, "there's not a single person I'd rather being taking this journey of parenthood with" than him.

From the looks of it, baby Jackson definitely seems to be growing fast. In a recent post, Zach shared a photo of his son and joked about some of the lessons they've already learned about him, like the fact that he likes "peeing when dad and mom are changing my diaper, eating, and sleeping."

And in honor of his son's one-month "birthday," Zach provided even more details, like the fact that Jackson "loves watching soccer with daddy," but "hates having his diaper changed," and that so far, he is sleeping about five to six hours each night. Zach also shared that Jackson wasn't exactly a huge fan of bath time so far, but that he does seem to be a particularly big fan of Zach's younger brother, Jacob.

And the feeling definitely appears to be mutual. Although Jacob is no longer involved with the family's reality show, he still appears to be close to his siblings, and recently posted a short video of his nephew to his Instagram account. In the caption, Jacob wrote, "I LOVE THIS KID," and added, "look at those eyes."

Shortly after welcoming their son and announcing his birth on social media, Zach and Tori revealed in an interview with People magazine that, like Zach, Jackson was born with achondroplasia, a form of short-limb dwarfism. But while the possibility of having a baby with achondroplasia was something the couple had discussed prior to the delivery on episodes of LPBW, Zach said it ultimately doesn't change a whole lot about the way he'd planned on raising his son:

You have to encourage a dwarf child a little more because it will take them five steps to do what others can do in two. But I knew, dwarf or not, I was going to parent my child with the mentality that not everyone gets a trophy. You have to earn it.

One thing Zach did admit to People though is that, as a little person himself, he experienced bullying as a result of his condition. Zach said,

I grew up with the name-calling. I look at my childhood and being a boy on the farm, it was a little tough because boys are very alpha-doggy and follow the pack. I was always chasing the back and way behind the pack. It was tough.

Still, no matter what challenges Jackson faces in life, he definitely won't have to look far for love and support. In addition to his parents, Jackson has been getting lots of love from his adoring grandparents, as well as Zach's three siblings. And soon, he'll even have a playmate: Zach's average-size twin brother Jeremy, is set to welcome a little girl with his wife, Audrey, in September.
