17 4th Of July 2017 Quotes

by Ni'Kesia Pannell

Many people would say that the 4th of July is the standout holiday of the summer. For me, it serves as the unofficial start to summer and reminds me that the next few months of my life are meant to be celebrated. Though trips to the beach and backyard barbecues are all great ways to celebrate Independence Day, I also find that reading 4th of July quotes have a hand in making the day great.

I think that people often forget the true meaning of holidays like the 4th of July. In the past, I just saw at it as a day off dedicated to eating good food with family and friends. Although I still appreciate those things, I've also realized that taking time to reflect on how much Independence Day has afforded Americans is a vital part to really understanding why it exists. Of course, I don't think that solely reading a quote can impart long lasting humility. I do, however, think that when packaged with other initiatives, 4th of July quotes can do their part in reminding you how much this country's independence has blessed you with. Likewise, the quotes can remind you how big of a blessing you should be to others, too.

So, if you're in need of a humbling reminder, check out these 17 4th of July quotes and share them at this year's barbecue.
