9 April Fool's Day Jokes That Will Give You A Laugh, Or At Least A Sarcastic Eye Roll

by Olivia Youngs

April Fool's Day. You either love or hate it. Growing up, I very much loathed the day where I had to question everything that happened to me. I remember once, as a prank, my dad told me I couldn't go to my friend's birthday party (which was conveniently held on April first) and I never could trust him fully again. All sarcasm aside though, if you're a natural prankster there are some April Fool's Day jokes that you're sure to love. And if you, like me, just can't get into the spirit of the holiday of distrust and lies (too far?), then maybe you can appreciate some of the sarcasm that accompanies these jokes.

While I can appreciate the value of a good practical joke, I'm not one to paint nail polish on a bar of soap, fake a Facebook engagement post, or rig a bucket of water to dump on some unsuspecting victim's head. However, there are people, presumably like my father, who love pulling pranks on said victims (just kidding, dad, I'm not really scarred for life). Whatever category you fall into, you'll probably be able to relate to these jokes— either as the prank-er or the pranked.

"You should know that no one understood it was an April Fool's joke because no one expected you have a sense of humor."

"Tomorrow is April Fools' Day — believe nothing, and trust no one. So, basically, it's like any other day."

"April Fools' Day is like a huge open mic night in which millions of people go out of their way to demonstrate how unfunny they are."

"April 1st. This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three hundred and sixty-four." — Mark Twain

"What if April Fools' Day doesn't exist, and it's been the longest prank in history?"

"April Fools' Day is the perfect day to say everything horrible you've wanted to say to people and then pretend it's a joke."

"If every fool wore a crown, we should all be kings."

Or queens, obviously.

"Ever wonder if some people are God's version of an April Fools' Day joke?"

"I trust you not to pull any April Fools' Day pranks because I trust you to still think it's March."
