How Littlefinger Could Meet His End On 'Game Of Thrones'

by Zakiya Jamal

Since Season 1, many Game of Thrones viewers have been waiting for Littlefinger to meet his end. Though many characters have died over the past six years, Littlefinger is still kicking, to many fans' chagrin. However, now that Arya has returned home to Winterfell, people are hoping that she'll be the one to put an end to his devious ways. In fact, many fans are sure she'll be the one to kill him. So how could Arya kill Littlefinger on Game of Thrones? As a well-rounded assassin, there are a lot of ways Arya could go about ending him permanently.

Although Arya has returned home, everything is not well at Winterfell. She appears to have fallen right into Littlefinger's trap by breaking into his room and finding the letter Sansa was forced to write to Robb, way back in Season 1. In the letter, Sansa begged Robb to surrender to the Lannisters and tells him about her love for Joffrey. Though viewers know Sansa only wrote that letter because she was being forced, Arya accused Sansa of betrayal.

Now some fans fear Littlefinger's plan to separate the Stark sisters is working, as Arya seems to be seriously considering killing her sister. However, other viewers are certain that Arya's real target is Littlefinger and that the two of them are playing him. So here's a few ways she may cross him off her list.

She'll Team Up With Sansa & Bran

With the way Arya and Sansa have been acting, it's difficult to believe the Stark sisters could actually be working together. However, many fans are holding out hope that Arya is purposefully pretending she's mad at Sansa to throw Littlefinger off, and that she's going to convince Sansa that they have to kill Littlefinger, with the help of Bran, who knows everything Littlefinger has done to the Stark family.

She'll Use Littlefinger's Own Dagger Against Him

There have been a lot of theories about the significance of Littlefinger's knife making a reappearance on the show. Besides the fact that it was the weapon used in the assassination attempt against Bran, it's also made of Valyrian steel, one of the few things that can kill White Walkers. However, many fans agree that because Littlefinger gave the dagger to Bran (who in turn gave it to Arya), it will be the weapon Arya uses to kill him. Many believe this will bring the show full circle because, though it hasn't been proven, it has been suggested that it was actually Littlefinger that sent that assassin to Bran's chamber, in an effort to incite the war between the Lannisters and the Starks.

She'll Change Her Face

In the most recent episode, Sansa discovered Arya's bag of tricks, or faces, and it wouldn't be surprising if Arya slipped one on to surprise Littlefinger and kill him. But which face would she use and why would she bother hiding her face? Probably in case there were any witnesses lurking about, so that way it couldn't get pinned on her.

She'll Poison Him

Similar to how she killed all the Freys in one fell swoop, Arya may poison Littlefinger so it's a less messy death. With poison, Arya may have a better chance of getting away with the murder, but knowing Littlefinger he's probably too smart to be poisoned. Then again, if Arya has Sansa's help, surely it wouldn't be that difficult to get Littlefinger to swallow a spiked drink.

Hopefully, fans won't have to wait much longer to discover how Littlefinger meets his end.
