John Legend's New Music Video Features Daughter Luna & It's Adorable

by Casey Suglia

The past week has been filled with darkness. After Donald Trump was declared the President Elect of the United States, morale has been low and the horizon has never looked so bleak. This is all understandable, but luckily there are things to serve as distractions from the issues at hand. John Legend's new music video features daughter Luna and serves as an uplifting and much needed distraction from the things going on in the United States.

John Legend's video for his new single "Love Me Now" could not be released at a more fitting time. It features and represents so many people who could be effected by the political climate in the United States — both young and old, over seas and in the U.S. Best of all, the video comes with a great message. The video introduces a few key locations — Domiz Refugee Camp, Northern Iraq; Orlando, Florida; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Standing Rock Reservation, North Dakota — and John's own home. In these places, throughout the video, love is shown in different ways — it is in the eyes of a child, a young couple, and an older Native American couple — among the other very real people shown in the video. Not to mention two very important people in Legend's life are also featured — his wife, Chrissy Teigen and their infant daughter Luna.

Luna looks adorable in the video, staring dotingly at her father while he looks on and sings to her. Honestly, Luna is a natural and looked so much at home in front of the camera — and there could be a reason why. This is not Luna's first time appearing in a music video. In July, Luna made her first ever appearance in the music video for "M.I.L.F.$" alongside Teigen, just weeks after she was born. Luna could also have music video modeling in her genes — after all, Teigen and Legend first met on the set of one of Legend's music videos in 2007.

The video is exactly what people could use in their lives at this moment — despite what is going on, at the end of the day all we have is each other and the love in our hearts. No matter what happens in the future, we have got to keep on loving each other right now — because as Legend says in the song, it's all we have. While the future may be uncertain, we have one another — and that can never be taken away.
