Your Horoscope For December 26-January 1

It's true: Your zodiac sign plays a part in how you can live your best life, from which sex position you should try to identifying your dream career goals. Romper partnered with astrologer Maressa Brown to share how every sign can put the current astrological aspects to work and enjoy even more happiness, wellness, and love every week. Here's your weekly horoscope for December 26-January 1.

With Christmas and the first few nights of Hanukkah just behind us and New Year's Eve celebrations on the horizon, this is usually a relatively quiet week, but the stars have a few surprises for us. On Monday, lucky Jupiter in Libra opposes revolutionary Uranus in Aries, which happens only once every fourteen years, stirring our need to shake things up in our personal lives. A change-making event could happen out of the blue, at home or in the headlines, which will have a majorly reverberating effect that will ultimately be positive.

On Wednesday, the sun and Mercury (which you've probably noticed is in retrograde, thanks to technological glitches or transportation tie-ups on your end) pair up in Capricorn, causing us to feel more confident about how we express ourselves. And right on that aspect's heels is a new moon in Capricorn, which makes for the perfect time to meditate on progress we've made over the past year or even month, and pinpoint what we want to manifest going forward (hey, resolutions!).

This clarity may be wise to bear in mind on New Year's Eve when gung-ho Mars and dreamy Neptune pair up in Pisces, laying the groundwork to very easily go overboard with the booze. Sure, it might be one night that you can let loose (it's possible you've had the child care plan locked down for weeks!), but going slow is your best bet.

Whoa, mama. An out-of-the-blue incident could really shake up your relationship dynamic and leave you gasping for air on Monday, when lucky Jupiter in your seventh house of partnership opposes change-maker Uranus in your sign. It might take you a minute to wrap your head around what just happened and figure out the best way to proceed for you and your L.O. Take all the time you need and do your best to stay optimistic. Change, at least in this case, can be beneficial in the long run.

It's quite possible you've been looking forward to spending time with good friends and/or colleagues on New Year's Eve. Your folks or your usual sitter graciously said they'd watch the baby, so you're in the clear! But go-getter Mars and Neptune, the planet that clouds rational thought, pair up in your eleventh house of friends that night, and you might be tempted (perhaps even a bit peer-pressured) to drink or eat or just plain party too much. Sure, you deserve to chill! But if you indulge in moderation, you'll be much happier in the end.

Around Thursday, when the new moon is in your eighth house of sexual intimacy, you'll know in your gut exactly what you want to do to shift the tide with your partner between the sheets. If you're not ready to open up about it just yet, write your feelings down or talk to a trusted friend. You'll know when the time is right, and you'll knock this important conversation out of the park...

Talking to your partner about a sensitive issue (like your birth plan or a conflict with the in-laws) comes naturally around Wednesday, when the confident sun and communicator Mercury pair up in your seventh house of partnership. You may feel like rehearsing over and over again before initiating the conversation, but simply speaking from the heart is your best bet right now. An emotional appeal that also employs facts is sure to get you on the same page.

Leo (July 23-August 22)

You could be craving a deep, romantic, and OK, super-physical connection with your partner or someone who's caught your eye on New Year's Eve, when go-getter Mars and dreamy Neptune pair up in your eighth house of sexual intimacy. But how you satisfy those urges may be fueled more by one too many flutes of champagne than your actual desires. Do your best to be mindful about your actions in the moment, and you'll be at peace with the way this sexy night plays out.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)

Envisioning how you want your love life to look in the weeks and months ahead is key around Thursday, when the new moon is in your fifth house of romance. Maybe you want your honey to accompany you to those Lamaze classes, or you want to plan a spring vacay with the baby in tow. Meditating on or visualizing your dreams and then sharing them openly gives you the power to make them a reality. You've got this, mama!

Libra (September 23-October 22)

Sure, you could wait until New Year's Day to make a resolution. But in your gut, you know exactly what you want for your loved ones, and there's no better opportunity to set your intentions than around Thursday, when the new moon is in your fourth house of family life. Maybe you want to consider moving, so your big kid can go to a better public school, or maybe you want to try for baby #2 or #3. The more detail and clarity you can get now around your goal, the more empowered you'll be to make it happen!

If you've been trying to rev up your post-baby fitness or career plan, but you're feeling a bit stuck, you'll start to get some traction around Thursday, when change-maker Uranus ends its five-month retrograde and moves forward in your sixth house of routine. An opportunity to energize the process (like a friend's invitation to go for a run, or a freelance job offer that comes) may come out of nowhere and may feel a bit jarring, but roll with it if you can. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how it helps shape your success!

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)

You might be tempted to go overboard to make sure New Year's Eve is perfect for the kids and your partner and your friends, etc. around Saturday, when go-getter Mars and dreamy Neptune pair up in your fourth house of home life. But everyone else's awesome time isn't necessarily your sole responsibility. And you don't have to bake tons of cookies, make five-star Yelp review-worthy cocktails, or script and shoot an entire early evening New Year's countdown for the L.O.s all by yourself. Asking for help allows you to enjoy yourself — which, BTW, you totally deserve!

Capricorn (December 22-January 19)

Don't be shocked if you suddenly feel like New Year's has come a bit early around Thursday when the new moon is in your sign, urging you to spend time on self-reflection and goal-setting. This can be tough, however, if you're striving too hard for perfectionism. (It's OK if you breastfeed a bit shorter than you planned to!) Strike the right balance between pinpointing what you want to achieve while practicing self-compassion, and you'll feel amazing about what the future has in store...

Aquarius (January 20-February 18)

It may be time to open up about those personal desires (a post-baby energy boost, a new career trajectory, more one-on-one time with your bae?) when the confident sun pairs up with communicator Mercury in your twelfth house of spirituality. You tend to want a rational explanation and plan for just about everything in your world, but it's OK if you don't have that right now. If you trust your intuition to help you focus on what you want to achieve and then formulate a plan, you'll be right on track.

Pisces (February 19-March 20)

You could get invited out with some of the other moms from your L.O.'s play group or bump into a mom from PTA around Thursday when the new moon is in your eleventh house of friendship and networking. While you may not initially feel like switching up your schedule to squeeze in social time, this could signal a chance to bolster a productive, fulfilling new bond! See what you can do to open your heart now, and you'll be happy with the upshot.
