Your Weekly Parenting Horoscope For January 9-15

It's true: Your zodiac sign plays a part in how you can live your best life, from which sex position you should try to identifying your dream career goals. Romper partnered with astrologer Maressa Brown to share how every sign can put the current astrological aspects to work, helping you enjoy more happiness, wellness, and love every week. Here's your weekly horoscope for January 9-15.

As we put every last holiday decoration away and try not to hibernate through ice and snowstorms hitting all over the country, the sky above has some drama in store this week. Thursday is the main astrologically active day of the week, as there's a full moon in Cancer that is occurring at the same time as a few other bold aspects.

The full moon in maternal, emotional Cancer opposes the sun, which is in hardworking Capricorn. We started to feel the push-pull of these two energies and the winding down of major projects as early as yesterday (Sunday, the 8th), since a full moon's influence can usually be felt for four days plus and minus the date it's exact. At the same time, we have transformative Pluto in Capricorn, expansive Jupiter in Libra, and change-maker Uranus in Aries. So, we have a Cardinal Grand Cross, which means all five of these major planets will be in what's called a cardinal sign. Cardinal signs are all about restless, forceful, and spontaneous energy and activity. In other words, the potential for conflict is sky-high!

Also on Thursday (I know!), Mercury enters nose-to-the-grindstone Capricorn, where it'll remain for three weeks, reminding us that it's no longer the holiday season, and it's time to get down to brass tacks. Ugh. Thankfully, by the end of the day, we get a sweet turn of the stars: Venus and Neptune join up in dreamy Pisces, making it easy to put rose-colored glasses on, even if the day (or week, eesh) has been all sorts of stressful. Hang in there, mama!

You may find yourself butting heads with your kid and/or partner around Thursday, when the full moon is in your fourth house of home and family life. Reality check: It's possible you're fighting just so you're able to call yourself the winner. If you give yourself a breather to take some solo time and just reflect on the big picture, you'll soon be on the same page.

If you've been trying to hone your professional skills or maybe push yourself to get to the gym more often, your motivation might suddenly dip around Tuesday, when the confident sun in your ninth house of adventure forms a negative angle to change-maker Uranus in your twelfth house of spirituality. Spend quality time with your L.O., take a walk in the park, and bake with your partner. Basically, do whatever you need to do to rest your mind and body, and you'll be able to push forward even more effectively.

On Thursday, when creative Venus pairs up with dreamy Neptune in your tenth house of career, it feels like it's the right time to jump on that artistic idea you've been toying with pursuing as a source of cash (like recreating and selling those pretty decorations you made for the baby's nursery). You'll start to see the project in an especially optimistic light, which is awesome! But make sure you sit down with loved ones and talk through the logistics, so your game plan going forward is realistic.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

It's quite possible you'll be feeling particularly stretched to your limits and overwhelmed by your L.O.s and family in general around Thursday, when the full moon is in your sign. Self-care couldn't be more important right now! While that may not come in the form of a pedicure, give yourself permission to take your time with the daily grind or just go sit with a cup of tea for a minute or two on your own to get your wits about you. You deserve it, mama.

Leo (July 23-August 22)

If you've been struggling to focus on your personal goals since the holidays, you can look forward to a three-week period that bolsters your ability to do just that, starting Thursday when communicator Mercury moves into your sixth house of routine and wellness. Take advantage by sitting down with your partner to figure out the best way to tackle all the to-dos as a team, scheduling that annual physical so you can have a productive one-on-one with your doctor, or signing up for a yoga challenge. You've got this.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)

On Thursday, when Venus, the planet of love, and Neptune, which skews rational thought, pair up in your seventh house of partnership, it's easy to put a disagreement with your partner or a loved one on the back burner, because you'd rather keep the peace or enjoy a quiet night together. (Gotta take advantage of the toddler falling asleep early!). If you allow yourself to get carried away, make sure to do a self-check later on so you don't let any valid concerns fall by the wayside.

Libra (September 23-October 22)

On Thursday, communicator Mercury moves into your fourth house of home life, making the next three weeks the perfect time to talk to your partner about that big house project or your child care plans for the year. You'll really feel like you're speaking the same language and that you're making major progress mapping out long-term goals. Yes!

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

You'll do well to schedule a sitter or get the kids to bed as early as possible on Thursday when Venus, the planet of love, pairs up with dreamy Neptune in your fifth house of romance. You're bound to be exhausted from all of your usual to-dos — and potential added stressors — but if you make a point to go out on that Bumble date or snuggle by a fire with your partner, the mood is so sensual that sparks will fly.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)

It's quite possible you'll clash with your partner or a loved one over money matters on Tuesday, when the confident sun in your second house of income forms a negative angle to change-maker Uranus in your fifth house of romance and kids. You may be caught off-guard if the argument comes up in the middle of a festive dinner or a get-together with friends. Don't put pressure on yourself to figure out a solution right away. Patient communication will get you in sync!

Capricorn (December 22-January 19)

Around Thursday, when the full moon is in your seventh house of partnership, you might be aggravated if it feels like you're hitting a wall with completing a project with your partner (like finally picking your L.O.'s preschool) or colleague (like finishing that team project at work). Just hitting the "pause" button may be your best bet for now, and you'll give tensions time to dissipate before reconvening and figuring out the best way to move forward.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18)

You might feel like you have no choice but to finally address problems with your overwhelming schedule around Thursday, when the full moon is in your sixth house of daily routine. You're usually all about logic and science, but getting in touch with how you're feeling right now will help you navigate your new path. Spend time reading or playing games with your L.O. and having a lovely meal with your family. Then share what's in your heart. You'll know how to proceed.

Pisces (February 19-March 20)

Around Thursday, when the full moon is in your fifth house of romance and kids, you might feel mom guilt if you have plans to spend time with friends or colleagues, but also have the chance to chill at home with your family. You do you, mama. As long as you follow your heart, you should know that ultimately, there's no wrong way to go.
